Blessed to be a Mom

Blessed to be a Mom

My friend, Sydney, took pictures of my family recently and she got some beautiful pictures of my kids that are just too good not to share. Normal mom life can be crazy at times, but when I look at these four beautiful human beings that I've been blessed with I can't help but feel so grateful. How did I get so lucky?

And although I am often raving about my "girl time" and "me time," when it comes down to it, the most important time to me is family time. I am so grateful for my children and consider them the biggest blessings in my life. I don't know what I'd do without them, and I hope they know that everything I do is for them. Even the time that I devote to myself is for them. Because when I am happy, everyone is happy. And I know this for a fact, because anytime I've been depressed or unhappy (usually a couple of weeks after having a baby and when I still have baby weight to lose), it's like I can't function properly. Not feeling good also results in me neglecting my responsibilities. It is not a pretty picture, so I know from those few and rare times that the only way that I can really care for the other people in my life is when I, myself, am taken cared of. So the time I set aside for myself is ultimately for them. When Mom is happy, everyone is happy. :)

Even working is for them! I am trying to create a better life for them and I don't ever want money to be an issue or the reason why they can't do something. So I hope that they will always know and remember how much their Mommy really loves them.

So without further ado, my beautiful blessings....
