It is no secret that I have a passion for dancing. I started when I was a little girl and never stopped really. In pretty much every phase of my life dancing was a part of it in some way or another.
After moving back home from Utah in 2012, I had the opportunity to dance again. And although it was the furthest thing from my mind at the time, I decided to just go ahead and do it. Not only to help out when needed, but to give me something fun to do outside of regular Mommy life. (The extra workout was bonus! ;)
At first I danced with the promo team again (just helping out here and there), when a couple of months later the opportunity to be a lead role performer in the night show presented itself. Needless to say, I ended up doing it (just one night a week) and it was an awesome experience.
And no, I am no actress, but it felt good to do something that challenged me and pushed me out of my comfort zone a little. It was a great learning experience and I was especially grateful for all of the close friendships that were created (especially with the other lead roles), throughout the process.
Never thought I'd be able to dance again post-mom life.
As always, a huge thank you to my leaders, kumu hula's, ra'atira's, and loved ones for always supporting me and believing in me. Especially to my Heavenly Father for blessing me with these talents and the passion that I have for dance. Forever blessed. Xo!
