Model for a Day

Earlier this week I got to be a model for a day with Lularoe. The founders and styling team of Lularoe were in town this past week and I was fortunate enough to be asked to be in their summer photo shoot. And let me tell you, it was so much fun!

Loved getting all dolled up and pampered. :)

Loved getting all dolled up and pampered. :)

To be honest though, I was very hesitant to do the shoot at first--after just having a baby and all. I was only 4 weeks postpartum when they asked if I'd be a model and I almost kindly declined. However, after getting some encouragement from my husband (and from them), I decided to give it a go. Plus the organizer, Ryan, reassured me that everything would be fine and that they would work with me to make sure everything fit right and looked good. And that they certainly did! I felt confidently beautiful that day in my Lularoe and I am so glad I got to be a part of this. It also gave me good motivation to work my butt off to lose some of the baby weight before then. I had exactly 6 weeks to put in work and I was able to lose 10 pounds in that time, thanks to the 21 Day Fix.

And luckily for me, out of all the clothing there is to model, Lularoe just so happens to be the perfect type of clothing, as it is flattering on all body types. Anyways, here are some of the unofficial pics from our phones, the "sneak peeks," if you will.

As I said before, this was truly such a fun experience! It was also so good for me to get out of the house and to sort of have a day to myself. I mean who knew getting dressed up constantly throughout the day would feel so good? Haha! But I guess after having a baby, doing anything outside of the home feels good. It was also so fun seeing the stylists in their element, working their magic. What a blessing to experience. Thank you, Lularoe!

As a side note: I guess this would be a good time to mention that Spencer and I became Lularoe Consultants about 6 months ago. We started in December and it's been going good so far. But if I were to be totally honest, this is actually Spencer's business. Spencer is the main consultant and I'm more his side kick/assistant/model/business partner/finance person. Lol. He started this because he needed a way to pay for flight school without having to be tied down to a regular 9-5 job. Lularoe is a job that allows him the flexibility to make his own schedule and he really loves that aspect of it. Not only that, but he loves that business owner lifestyle. Ever since we moved to Hawaii 4 1/2 years ago, he's been wanting to run his own business (just to have that lifestyle and be his own boss), but he never did try one of his million ideas, so when this opportunity presented itself (from his sisters who are both consultants), he was sold. This was such an easy way to become a business owner without having to do nearly as much work. And hey, I have to say, I am loving the lifestyle too. It was so great to have him home so much during the hardest parts of my pregnancy and especially after just having a baby. He was such a huge help to me at home and because of that, I've had such a smooth recovery physically and especially mentally. I never felt overwhelmed with the 4 kids or trapped at home or in need of a break. I've had plenty of time to get out, to get fresh air, to take care of myself (workout, hair, nails, massage, lashes, waxing), which all helped to prevent myself from feeling those postpartum baby blues. So it's been great all around. Who would've thought that this would be such a great blessing for me too?! So thank you Lularoe! XO.
