It's June 20th, which means I started my new health journey exactly 2 months ago (at 4 weeks postpartum). I was able to lose 10 pounds during the first month while on the 21 Day Fix, but didn't lose anything this second month. But in all honesty, that was to be expected because...
- Week 1 (of month 2) was the week I took a break from exercising and eating clean due to our family trip to Disneyland
- Week 2 I started Crossfit, but it was my 30th birthday week so some cheating (and skipping) happened there
- Week 3 was Mother's Day week which equaled more cheating and skipping, and
- Week 4 was ward camp week, which equaled A LOT of cheating (s'mores, scones, Tita's Grill bread, cocoa samoa, soda, chips, you name it)
Due to the trip and all these special events, my weight hovered for a little bit there. I think I gained about 2-3 pounds on the trip, then Crossfit helped me to lose it and basically maintain it during the rest of the cheating I did throughout the month. So no weight loss (according to the scale) this second month, but thankfully there was no gaining either. Phew!
So a new week and MONTH THREE started yesterday and you better believe I'm going harder and stronger now. My plan of action? For the next two weeks, I'm going to continue doing Crossfit daily, but I'm also going to incorporate running on my own as well. I want to do Crossfit for strengthening and toning, and running to burn the fat. As for eating, I'm going to go back to the food aspect of the 21 Day Fix, which basically focuses on portion control and eating clean. So I'll be eating 6 small healthy meals a day and only drinking water (with just one cheat meal a week). I've got two days under my belt so far and I'm feeling good. I'll do another update in 2 weeks. Wish me luuuuuck! Xo!
