Wow, what a windy and cold Hawaii winter it's been this year. It's been extremely rainy and cold for Hawaii, but I have welcomed the weather change because it has made it actually feel like Christmas. There's just something about listening to Christmas music when it's dark and gray outside vs. warm and sunny.
And luckily, I have a ton of amazing memories to show for our Hawaii Winter this year. During these past two weeks I went on multiple hikes with family in town, watched a surf competition, had a North Shore day with cousins (which included eating at the food trucks and getting shaved ice from Matsumoto's), and had lots of down time playing card games galore at home. I even went on a quick trip to Utah with my family, where we were able to go sledding and tubing and create many fun memories with our extended family there. And to top it off, we had a family wedding to come back to, which included decorating, setting up, cleaning up, and all the things that come with that! So it has definitely been a busy and fun couple of weeks with family.
I sure love all of the family time that comes with the holiday season and this year we were blessed with a lot of it! I hope you all had a beautiful holiday season as well. Mele Kalikimaka from our family to yours! :)
