Making Progress

Making Progress

Had a Mommy play date all the way at Lanikai Beach this week and I have to say, I am pretty proud of myself for following through since it is rare that I venture this far away from home alone with my babies.

It wasn't the sunniest of days, but it was better than the rain we were experiencing on our side. As you can see it was a little bit overcast, but you know what? It ended up being the perfect conditions for taking pictures. So my photog friend took advantage and got some shots of me using her Kipa Beach towel.

To be honest, I wasn't completely comfortable doing this (mostly because of my 7 month postpartum bod that isn't where I want it to be yet), but I did it anyways and I was pleasantly surprised. For one, my friend is amazing at what she does. She has such an eye for photography and I really love her style. And secondly, I didn't realize how much progress I had actually made over the past 3 months since starting the Turtle Bay Fitness Classes. Props to Bottoms Up Abs Out, because I mean.....I think it's working. Haha! :)

I guess I've just been going through the motions so much lately that I forgot to actually take a step back to notice and celebrate my progress and hard work. It feels so good to know that my investment (both money and time) in my health is actually paying off. And that is certainly something to be proud of--whether I am at my goal or not (but I am so so close)!

I also have to give some of the credit to Crossfit Ko'olau and the 21 Day Fix as well. These are the 3 things I've done since having baby and each have contributed to where I am at now. :)

And how cute is my baby and his little bum?

Seriously, sister-friend photo shoot for the win. Thanks, Syd!
